There is no doubt that Aaron Sorkin is a brilliant writer and that, “A Few Good Men” may be his masterpiece. The trial scene with Jack Nicholson and Tom Cruise is one of the most quoted in cinema history.

However, after stumbling upon this ultra-rare clip from one of the lost Jack Benny Programs at the UCLA archive, it’s possible that he may have been unknowingly influenced by something he saw back in 1961.

The video is not in the best shape yet it still illustrates that, “The Jack Benny Program” stands the test of time and is as relevant today as it was 58 years ago.
